  • This month at FL1

    18th March 2009 in General, fl1

February and March have been interesting months that’s for sure.

Firstly March brought us bad news with the passing of Niall’s father. Niall’s father Alisdair was the original company secretary back in the days when FL1 was in its infancy and Niall and Jason were still wearing shorts.

Alisdair will be sadly missed by everyone at FL1. Rest in Peace.

We launched a fabulous starter website package nick-named the “295 special” which offers a 4 page website + hosting + a .co.uk domain name with prices starting at £295.

So far they’ve been flying off of the virtual shelves and we’ve nearly finished a few already:

We were so surprised how popular the 295 special was, we’re working a 495 special as a big brother.
The 495 special is a fully functional online shop with full e-commerce capability. Watch this space!

So what else has been happening?

Well, Mr Sammon took the stabilisers off of his nice new motorbike and ended up breaking his shoulder. That’ll teach him not to ride on ice!

Jason’s band the Kings of Langley packed out the Rose and Crown in St Albans. This is likely due to people coming along to see him attempt to play hiss bass guitar with 1 arm. For future gigs check out their website or join the Kings of Langley Facebook group.

Finally Jason and Sabra are back on stage again with a whole new Blogs, Pods and Wikis seminar for 2009 on March 20th in St Albans. For details check out the new website http://www.blogspodsandwikis.com or join the Blogs, Pods and Wikis Facebook group.

    See you next month…

  3. I went to the Blogs, Pods & Wikis seminar in St Albans on 20 March. It was excellent and really got me thinking about how to use all the different social media tools. It was well worth attending. Thanks to Jason and Sabra for making it so interesting.
